1. Create a new DSEA or copy an existing DSEA
If you wish to disclose data or provide services to a foreign entity, you must create a DSEA. An email will be sent to you when the DSEA is approved.
You can either create a new DSEA or copy an existing DSEA.
Create New DSEA
- Create a new DSEA from scratch
- Use an existing template that your administrator has placed in the system
Copy an Existing DSEA
- Input your Request Email in the Request Email input box and hit Submit
- Choose "Copy" from the table once you find your DSEA

2. DSEA Adjudicated
Your DSEA will either be approved, not approved and returned, or denied.
Your DSEA has been approved
- You will receive an email once your DSEA has been approved
- Once approved you must log exports against the existing DSEA
- See all actions you can do with your DSEA once approved
Your DSEA has been returned
- If your DSEA is not sufficiently detailed for approval, an email will be sent with a reason for return
- You will need to modify your DSEA and resubmit in order to get it approved
Your DSEA has been denied
- You will receive an email with a reason for denial
3. Log exports against existing DSEA
You must log exports under the existing DSEA when you perform activity pursuant to the DSEA.
4. Close out your DSEA
When activity pursuant to an approved DSEA is completed, or it is determined the activity will not occur, you must close out the DSEA within the DSEA export logging tab.
